NEW GLASGOW – Richard Garfield “Ricky” Spears, 49, New Glasgow, formerly of Antigonish, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Courtney and Elizabeth (MacLeod) Spears. Surviving are his girlfriend, Joanne, New Glasgow; former wife, Karen, Westville; daughters, Rikki Ann, New Glasgow; Emily, Westville; sons: Joey, Westville; Steven, New Glasgow; Richard, Stellarton; Peter (Amanda), Merigomish; Andrew, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Noah, Samantha, Daniel; sisters, Esther, Merigomish; Peggy, New Glasgow; Carlene, Kentville; Gladys, Hopewell; Rosena, Pictou; Alberta, Goshen; brothers, John, White Hill; Robert, New Glasgow; Phonse, Goshen; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel with Rev.
