BARTON, ARTHUR KEITH Arthur Keith Barton, 90, of 293 Main Dunstable Road, Nashua, died early Friday morning, April 8th at Hackett Hill Healthcare Center in Manchester, after a lengthy illness. A resident of Nashua for over 50 years, Mr. Barton was born at Scotch Lake, New Brunswick, Canada on December 27, 1914, son of the late Arthur W. and Martha (Gray) Barton. Mr. Barton was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Buck) Barton, whom he married on December 20, 1949 at the Wilmot Congregational Church in Fredericton, N.B. They had celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary prior to her death on August 1, 1994. He had been employed as a Diesel mechanic for the Clyde Everett Equipment Company of Burlington, Mass. for several years. Afer he retired, Mr. Barton worked for a time at the Hollis (NH) School Department. Educated in Canadian schools, Mr. Barton was a high school graduate and later attended Standard Engineering School in Toronto, Ontario. During World War II. he served as a Sargeant with the Canadian Army from September 1939 to October 1946. Mr. Barton held membership in Rising Sun Lodge #39 F & AM of Nashua, all Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Nashua and the New Hampshire Consistory. He was a parishioner of the Church of The Good Shepherd in Nashua. In his leisure time, Mr. Barton enjoyed crossword puzzles, painting, sketching and history. Members of his family include a daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Roy Wouters of Nashua; a grandson and his wife, Justin and Amy Wouters of Norfolk, Virginia; a granddaughter, Alex Wouters of Nashua; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Edith and Douglas Howland and Florence Moore, all of Fredericton, N.B.; a brother, Clarence Barton of Mactaquac, N.B.; several nieces and nephews. The Farwell Funeral Service, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held in The Church of The Good Shepherd in Nashua, N.H., Saturday, April 16th at 10 am. burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery.
