ELVA LILLIAN NORRAD
NORRAD, ELVA LILLIAN The death of Elva Lillian Norrad of Fredericton, NB, wife of Walter Norrad, occurred on Saturday, April 16th, 2005 at her residence in Fredericton, N.B. Born in McGivney, NB, she was a daughter of the late John M. Collins and Margaret B.(McConvey) Collins. Elva was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary Branch 80 and was an Associate Member of the Royal Canadian Legion. She was an avid dart and bingo player. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Randy Bartlett(Vanessa Nickerson) of Fredericton, N.B., Donald (Linda) Norrad of Fredericton, N.B., Arnold(Betty) Norrad of Oromocto, N.B., and Jim (Rachel) Norrad of Fredericton, N.B.; three brothers William "Bill" (Bertha) Collins of Fredericton, N.B., Vernard (Charlotte) Collins of Ontario, and John H. Collins of McGivney, N.B.; three sisters, Myrtle Doak of McGivney, N.B., Shirley Stoddard of Fredericton N.B., and Thelma Palmer of McGivney, N.B.; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elva was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence "Rocky" Collins, and Cecil Collins; one sister, Jean Collins. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, N.B. on Sunday, April 17th from 7 to 9 pm, and on Monday, April 18, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 2 pm by Rev. Joe Beasley, assisted by Rev. Richard Bragdon. Burial will be in the McGivney Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the McGivney Cemetery or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
