BURTIS MYLES CROUSE
CROUSE, BURTIS MYLES Burtis Myles Crouse went to be with his Lord on Thursday June 30, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. "Having fought the good fight, he has finished the course and kept the faith." Burtis was born on August 13th, 1939 in Zealand, NB and was the son of Lilas and the late Myles Crouse. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was also an avid golfer, loved ball and hockey (especially the Maple Leafs). Burtis worked for Diamond Construction for fifteen years and as an Electrician for I.B.E.W for thirty years. Burtis was an Elder and member of the Church of Christ. Burtis is survived by his loving and dedicated wife Sandra (nee Spencer) Crouse; three sons Mark (Annette) Crouse of Burtt's Corner, NB, Joel (JoAnne) Crouse of Bedford, NS and Jeremy (Rhonda) Crouse of Helena, Montana; grandchildren Laura and Melanie Crouse, Alexandra and Marissa Buckley and Jerico and Bethany Crouse; his mother Lilas Crouse; two sisters Betty (Burchill) Jones of Zealand, NB and Brenda Crouse (Gary) of Zealand, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father he was predeceased by an infant daughter, Krista Dawn. The visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North on Monday July 4, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday at 2 pm with Gordon Weatherby officiating and Geoff Conley assisting. The interment will take place in the Burtt's Corner Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Maritime Christian College, Canadian Cancer Society, Extra Mural Program, or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
