VERA ALICE (CAMPBELL) We McMANN

McMANN, VERA ALICE (CAMPBELL) We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our mother Vera, wife of the late Victor McMann, of Scotchtown, NB at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on July 20, 2005. Born in Hardwood Ridge, NB on November 22, 1922, Vera was the youngest daughter of Joseph and Nellie (Darrah) Campbell. Vera lived in Montreal as a young woman and worked for the Marconi Company during the war years. She married Vic in 1951 and they returned to New Brunswick where they built a home in Minto and raised their family. She was a member of the United Church of Canada and was involved with the UCW for many years. She was a golfer, a curler, a "pickler" and the Blue Jays biggest fan! A gently reserved lady, she found her greatest joy in her family and close friends; she will be greatly missed. Vera is survived by two daughters; Jill Beaulieu (Kendall Gaddess), Sussex, NB; and Judy McMann, Princess Park, NB; by a grand-daughter, Nicole Matchett (Jansen) and her "pride and joy" great-grandson, Marshall, all of Memramcook, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by one brother, Earle Campbell, and three sisters, Florence Cambell, Dorothy Purves (Reginald), and Marion Taylor (William). Visition will take place Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Minto Funeral Parlour, 10 King Street, Minto, NB. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 2 pm at the Scotchtown United Church with the Rev. Ruth Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences may be offered through www.bruce.hogg@selectfunerals.com
