BARRIE ARNOLD TOMILSON

TOMILSON, BARRIE ARNOLD It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Barrie Arnold Tomilson, husband of Dolly (Hayes) Tomilson. Barrie died peacefully at home on Monday, July 25, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 15, 1935, he was the son of the late Howard and Gladys Tomilson of Tay Creek, NB. Barrie is survived by three children, Roxanne (Kevin) Burdett, Kendall (Adrienne) Tomilson, and Trevor (Stephanie) Tomilson; seven grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Brewer of British Columbia; Mother and Father-in-law, Harold and Bertha Hayes; brothers-in-law, Reggie (Shirley) and Wayne (Karen) Hayes and sisterin-law Brenda (Allison) Carlisle and families. Several nieces and nephews, as well as many good friends and coffee buddies. He was predeceased by infant brother, Murray. Barrie was an Alumnus of the University of New Brunswick, graduating from Civil Engineering in 1960. He was a member of several organizations including, President of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, President of the Capital Regional Development Commission, President of the Construction Association and member of the Fredericton Flying Club. Anyone wishing to make donations in Barries' memory to the Extra Mural Hospital, Stanley Homecoming Scholarship Fund, the Canadian Cancer Society or any other charitable organization can do so at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, this would be appreciated by the family. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Anglican Church, McEvoy Street on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 11 am with Rev. Ranall Ingalls officiating, Rev. Ian Wetmore and Rev. Tom Smith assisting. Cremation and Burial will take place at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Tay Creek, NB at a later date. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com.
