HABIB MAJID DABLE

DABLE, HABIB MAJID It is with great sadness that the family of the late Habid Majid Dable of Fredericton, NB announces his peaceful passing on Tuesday, November 15th, 2005. Born in Barsa, El-Koura, Lebanon on January 4th, 1923, he was the son of the late Majid and Mary Dable. Habid immigrated to Canada in January 1955 with his wife, Marie and son, Majid and was a lifelong resident of Fredericton, NB. He was a loving, caring husband, father, brother and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife Marion (Marie) of fifty-six years, son Majid (Houda) Dable of Fredericton, NB; daughters, Anna (Edward "Tomo") Thompson of England; Mary (Philippe) Arab of Halifax, NS; grandchildren, Caroline Habib, Justin, Joseph, Mathew and Lucas; one brother Joseph (Lodie) Dable of Fredericton, NB; three sisters, Fahme (Chamel) Khoury of Fredericton, NB; Janet Deble of Saint John, NB and Yvonne Debleh of Australia and many wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by the parents; brother George Debly of Fredericton, NB and sisters, Solha, Saidee and Khouna of Lebanon. Habib most enjoyed the camaraderie of friends and family; He surrounded himself with loved ones and always had a good story to inspire others and invoke laughter into the most ordinary of situations. He loved his homeland of Lebanon and always reminded his family of how blessed they were have a Canadian and Lebanonese heritage. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, November 17th, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charbel Marnonite Church on Friday, November 18th, 2005 at 11:00 am. Rev. Elias Yousseff as celebrant. Interment will take place in the Hermitage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, CNIB or to the Parkinson Foundation.
