STEVENSON, RUSSELL ERNEST Jr. Russell Ernest Stevenson Jr., 63, of Mill Cove, New Brunswick, formerly of Kentville, Nova Scotia, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2006 at home. Born in Yarmouth, he was a son of Russell Stevenson, Aldershot and the late Agnes (Muise) Stevenson. In his earlier years, Russell was employed at the Kentville Research Station, and then worked in various fields, including supervisor of a maintenance company. He was most recently, along with his wife, owner and operator of Stevenson's Special Care Home in Millcove. He was an accomplished athlete, and was well known for his abilities in baseball, ice hockey and figure skating. He was also involved with the Cub and Boy Scout movement in the Kentville area and was associated with the West Nova Scotia Regiment and the Air Cadets. He was a member of the Maritime Motorcycle Association and attended many rallies, including the Bluenose Rally. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, the former Karen Flewelling; a son, Daniel (Ronda), Glenmont; a daughter, Jennifer (Allan) Micheau, Summerside, PEI; a step-daughter, Jennifer Flewelling, Fredericton; six sisters, Betty (Jerry) Robicheau, Kentville; Vivian Smith (Steve Fenerty), Lower Sackville; Alice (Oliver) Bowen, Scotts Bay Road; Rachel (Peter) Stevens, Kentville; Martha (Russell) James, Winnipeg; Grace (Bruce) Gates, Dartmouth; six brothers, Peter, Aldershot; Ralph (Debbie), Kentville; Walter, Centreville; Robert, Centreville; Albert (Ineze), Sudbury, Ontario; Leo (Donna), Melanson; three grandchildren, Whitney, Nigel and Paige, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Willis; three siblings, in infancy. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 and from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006, Reverend Robert Billings officiating. Donations in memory may be made to Stevenson's Special Care Home, 5816 Route 105, Millcove, NB E4C 3A8. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville.
