- Roy "Bud" February 23, 1937 - June 14, 2008 Roy "Bud" Benson of Calgary, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2008 at the age of 71 years surrounded by his loving daughter and granddaughter. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Mabel, son Bruce, brothers Howard and Laverne. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Tim and wife Tracy Byrns of Australia; Tammie and Vaughn Crone of Moose Jaw, SK; stepdaughter Kim and Keith Selvig of Calgary, AB; grandchildren: Kehlsie, Megan, Braeden, Macaela, Gavin, Daniel, Sean, Kyla (Scott), Kora (Adam); great-grandchildren: Trinity, Owen and Keona; sisters Mazel Vance, Ione (Rod) Miller; brothers: Ken Benson, Gerald (Donna) Benson, Don (Edna) Benson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Roy was known as "Grandpa Ho Ho" for the role he played as Santa at Westbrook Mall. He held various salesman jobs but treasured the most working with son-in-law Keith and two nephews Kevin and Audie at Heredity Homes in St. Albert.
