E. ALMA On COCHRANE
COCHRANE, E. ALMA On Monday, March 6, 2006, Elizabeth Alma Cochrane of Geary, NB passed away at the age of 80. Born in Geary on September 24, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Blanche (Wood) Cochrane. Besides her parents, a sister Leah Mildred and a brother Beecher Harrison predeceased her. Alma was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by a number of distant relatives and special friends, Bob and Doris Wilson of Lincoln, NB. Alma was employed with Simms Paint and Brush Factory in St. John, NB for 27 years. She was a life long and faithful member of the Pentecostal Church of Geary and loved spending time with her church family and being involved with the various functions and activities at the church. Alma was very missionary minded and supported Church Missions whole heartedly as well as being a strong supporter of the church building fund. She enjoyed being a member of the Singles Group at her church. She was a lover of cats and was completely devoted to her collection of feline companions at home. They were the love of her life. Alma will be resting at the Pentecostal Church of Geary on Tuesday, March 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the church on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Robert Foster officiating assisted by Rev. Mark Noel. Pallbearers will be Phyllis Jardine, Grace Smith, Sandra Robinson, Lynn Boudreau, Kay Boone and Diana Castonguay.Interment will be in the Smith Cemetery, Branch Road, Geary in the Spring. At Alma's request, no flowers please. She desired that contributions be made to the Pentecostal Church of Geary Building Fund.
