
ELVIRA LOIS DAVIES
DAVIES, ELVIRA LOIS The passing of E. Lois Davies of Oromocto, NB, occurred on Friday, April 14th, 2006 peacefully at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born June 5, 1930 in Blairmore, AB, she was the daughter of Doris Wilson of Calgary and the late Floyd K. Hottle. Lois was an elder of the St. James Presbyterian Church, was involved in the Crusillo Movement, and was strong in her faith. She loved to be involved in her church and community. She was also a CGIT leader, and taught in the ALPHA course. A talented writer and baker, Lois enjoyed crafting to create those special memories for her family and friends. Her family was her greatest source of joy, especially her grandchildren to whom she was so devoted. Lois was a much-loved mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed. Survived by two sons, Terrence James Davies (Valerie) of Saint John, NB, and Thomas Frank Davies (Angela) of Dubai, UAE; two daughters, Robin Lea Ward (Pat) of Lincoln, NB, and Dawn Marie Davies of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Adam, Meghan and Ryan Ward, Matthew, Mark, Kerris and Brynne Davies; and her mother Doris Wilson. Lois's extended family include, Bob and Jean Morrison & family, Heidi and Earl Graves & family, Mamta Mian & family, Judy Newhook and Mark Foss, and Louis Menard. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas E. (TED) Davies. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Monday, April 17th, 2006 2- 4 and 7-9 pm. The Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, April 18th, 2006 at 7:00 pm at the St. James Presbyterian Church on Hanwell Rd.
