RALPH W.W. SMITH
SMITH, RALPH W.W. The death of Ralph William Wallace Smith of Risteen's Landing, Fredericton, occurred on Sunday, June, 25, 2006 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. He was the only son of the late Ada (Dillon) and Wallace I. Smith of Hoyt, NB. Ralph was a graduate of Sunbury West Regional High School and the Maritime Forest Ranger School. He was employed with the Dept. of Transportation for 35 years. He was Past Master of Alexandria Lodge, Past Patron of Devon Chapter No 37, O.E.S., Past President of the Fredericton Shrine Club and a member of Luxor Temple Shriners. He was a member of several other Masonic bodies as well as the United Empire Loyalist Association and the N.B. Genealogical Society. He had a keen interest in family history. Ralph is survived by his wife of 48 years, Norma Jean (Cochrane), two sons, Stephen and his wife, Cheryl; Philip and his wife, Karen; one daughter, Heather and her husband, Charles Casey; and five grandchildren, Sarah, Chris, Rachael and Lauren Smith and Dallas Casey. Also surviving him is his only sister, Grace Smith, and her four children, and his brother-in-law, Lloyd Cochrane and his wife, Janice of Brown's Flat; predeceased by his brother-in- law, Murray Smith and several aunts, uncles and cousins. For those who wish to make memorial donations in Ralph's name, the family suggests the Shriners Hospital, (Fredericton Transportation Fund), or the Building fund of Wilmot United Church.
