DAVID WILLIAM BRADBURY

BRADBURY, DAVID WILLIAM David W. Bradbury of Nackawic passed away November 5, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Dave was born in Caledonia, NS in 1943. In 1970 he began work at St. Anne Nackawic as a supervisor, retiring in 1999. He was a charter member of the Nackawic Lions Club and when his health permitted was involved with several other organizations. He loved baseball which he played and coached in his youth. Later he coached his sons' Little League teams. Dave was happiest when he was supporting his sons at any of the sporting events they were part of. He is survived by his wife, Vera M (Scott) Bradbury; four sons, Tyler Bradbury (Kim), Airdrie, Alberta, Sean Bradbury (Beth), Howland Ridge, Thomas Gartley (Pamela), Ottawa, ON and Brian Gartley (Janet), Chatham, ON; his grandchildren, Emma, Taylor and Cydney Bradbury, Nathan and Colin Gartley; several nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his mother and step-father, Kathleen and Maurice Dagley and a sister, Lauren Dagley. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Kirk United Church of Canada, 29 Landegger Drive, Nackawic on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jennifer Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Otis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Connon, Eldon Gregoire, Ralph McManus, Dave McConaghy, Jim McCloskey and Lionel Bouchard. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Dave, the family has suggested the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Lung Association. Because of allergies in the family, friends are asked to refrain from wearing colognes, shaving lotion or perfumes at the visitation or funeral. www.flewellingswan.com
