TRAVIS VARNER WILLIAMS

WILLIAMS, TRAVIS VARNER Travis V. Williams of Harvey Station passed away January 17, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Travis was born in Acton in 1923, a son of the late Allen and Catherine (Varner) Williams. He was a carpenter by trade. Travis was a member of the Acton Presbyterian Church, Cherry Mountain Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years and the Order of the Eastern Star for 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Marie Z. (Stairs) Williams; two daughters, Brenda Lawson (Roger), Newmarket and Debbie Hood (Robin), Harvey; a son, Dale Williams, Harvey; seven grandchildren, Gregory Lawson, Robert Lawson (Tricia), Nicholas Lawson (Melanie), Ryan Hood, Aaron Hood, Christopher Williams and Stephen Williams; two great grandchildren, Dylan and Dakota; several nieces and nephews. Travis was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, John and Lewis Williams and a sister, Ruth Rosborough. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 2412 Route 3, Harvey Station on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. Interment will be later at Acton Cemetery. A Masonic service will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening at 6:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be grandsons Nicholas Lawson and Ryan Hood, nephews Randy Stairs and George MacFarlane and friends Mike Little and John Little.
