RECTOR, RUSSELL Russell Rector age 84 of Fredericton NB passed away peacefully at the Veterans Health Unit, Priestman St., Fredericton NB on June 14, 2007. Born in Springhill NS, he was a son of the late Harris and Elizabeth(Booth) Rector and predeceased by his first wife Celine (Lecointe) Rector. Russ was a member of the United Church in Kingsley, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 Oromocto,the Orange Lodge LOL #35 and Mick Mack Trailer Club in Lake George since 1969. He enlisted in the army from 1943-1946 & 1954-1978 with the Royal Canadian Dragoons, Armor Corps. From 1946-1954 he worked in the Springhill coal mine. Known as a backyard mechanic,one gift he will be remembered for was he always could be found around a table or campfire telling one of his infamous stories. He is survived by his wife Clara Lint; two sons Russell Jr.(Judi) of Nasonworth, Terry (Marsha) of Fredericton; 3 grandchildren Sheri Steeves (Richard) of Ottawa, Tracy of Saint John NB,Brandon of Fredericton; brother Doug Rector of Toronto;sister in law Bernice(Lecointe)Brown of Moncton; stepchildren Austin Lint (Rita), Tony Lint (Angelina), Joey Lint (Teresa) all of Fredericton, Danny Lint (Myrna), Roland Lint (Linda) all of Grand Prairie; 8 stepgrandchildren, 6 step-greatgrandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.Predeceased by 4 sisters Mary, Hazel, Hilda and Pearl. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 17, 2007 at Bishops Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Rd. from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Bishops Funeral Home on Monday June 18, 2007 at 2:00pm with Rev. Joanne Barr officiating assisted by Rev. Bob Johnson.
