MRS. GUILA - INCH
INCH, MRS. GUILA - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Guila (Collings) Inch of Grand Bay - Westfield at the Saint John Regional Hospital on September 11, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer at home. She is survived by her husband Allison and her little dog Maggie; one brother James Otho Collings and his wife Gloria of Grand Bay - Westfield; one niece and two nephews, and several cousins. She was predeceased by her mother and father, James O.D. and Opal (Allen) Collings. Guila graduated from the Moncton School of Nursing and worked in Obstetrics at the Saint John General Hospital and Regional Hospital retiring in 1992. She enjoyed being active in the community and church. She received Art Instruction from Robert Percival and Ray Butler and was a life member of the Saint John Art Club and instructed at the Monday Morning Art classes at the Westfield United Church. She hosted the weekly T.V. programme, "Art Club Chronicle." She loved animals and was a member of the Kindness Club. At the Wesley United Church, Browns Flat, Mrs. Inch was a choir member, president of the United Church Women and served on the Board of Stewards, facilitating the Fall and Spring Concerts. She also worked with the Saint John Theatre Company. Guila was also a motivator for the monthly meetings of the Cousin's Club. Resting at Castle "Fallsview " Funeral Home (634-1701), 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John. Funeral service will be held at Wesley United Church, Browns Flat on Saturday. September 15, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Visiting at Castle "Fallsview" on Thursday from 7 -9 p.m., and Friday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Interment will take place in the Wesley United Church Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mrs. Inch may be made to Wesley United Church in Browns Flat, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
