CAROL FAITH (BROOKS) WILLIAMS

WILLIAMS, CAROL FAITH (BROOKS) The passing of Carol Faith (Brooks) Williams, wife of the late Hartley Williams, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on October 16, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 27, 1920, in Boston, MA, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Annie (Slaunewaite) Brooks. Carol was a Clerk at Laskey's Drug Store for many years, which later became Devon Drug. She loved interacting with people through her work. Carol enjoyed gardening, flowers and was an animal lover, especially her poodle, Corey. Carol is survived by one daughter, Janet Donovan (James) of Fredericton Junction; one daughter-in-law, Mary Killam of Fredericton; one grandson, Timothy James Donovan of Fredericton Junction; three granddaughters, Sheri Dawn Killam of Matsuyama, Japan, Lori Lynn Aitken (Douglas) of Calgary, AB, Martha Grace Donovan of Boston, MA; one great grandson, Cole of Fredericton Junction; one sister, Connie Beck of Halifax, NS; two half sisters, Rita Russell (Donald) and Thelma Cabral both of Boston, MA; two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Brooks of Ottawa, ON, Margaret Brooks of Boston, MA; niece, Barbara MacLeod (Ken) of Baddeck, NS and one nephew, George Beck of Halifax, NS and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Carol was predeceased by one son, Alfred Killam; one brother, Robert Brooks; one half brother, Rudolph S. Brooks; one half sister, Ruth Barrett; two brothers-in-law, George Beck and Joseph Cabral and one nephew, Jerry Brooks. There will be no visitation by request. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 2 pm with Claude Gilks officiating. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
