GALLAGHER,MARGARET MURIEL With deepest sympathy the family announces the peaceful passing of Margaret Muriel Gallagher, of Minto, NB, at the Oromocto Public Hospital on the morning of December 11th, 2007 at the age of 85. Margaret was born February 23rd, 1922 at Northampton, NB, being the eldest child of John and Stella (Colwell) McIntosh. The devoted Mother of Robert (Patsy Phillips), Sheila Thorne (Elderic), Shirley Taddeo (Joseph), Sharon Scott ( Berkeley), Ronald (Susan), David (Patricia), Margaret (Penny) Grimshaw (David), Michael (Carmen) and Daniel (Lisa). She was a proud grandmother of Toby Pond, Jack Gallagher, Galen Gallagher, Tara MacKenzie, Shawn Scott, Andrew Scott, Tara Glencross, Lyndsay Gallagher, Joanna Gallagher, Caitlin Gallagher, Matthew Grimshaw and Emma Grimshaw and great grandmother of Alisha Pond, Margaret MacKenzie and Rachel MacKenzie. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald; sisters, Evelyn Barrow and Jean Welch and brothers, Leigh, Arthur, and Robert. She was a member of the Trinity United Church, Minto; life member of UCW; Past Matron of Remembrance Chapter # 30, Order of the Eastern Star, Past Queen of Nereides # 78 Daughters of the Nile. She enjoyed many years of square-dancing with the Oromocto Pioneers and Elm-Tree Square Dance Clubs. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday, December 13th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490). There will be an Eastern Star Tribute Service on Thursday, December 13th at 6:45 pm at the Minto Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 14th at 2:00 pm at Trinity United Church, Minto with Reverend Nancy Ritchie officiating. Interment will take place in the Canterbury Cemetery, Canterbury, NB at a later date.
