WHITE, BOONE "DUANE" With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Boone Duane White, who went to be with his Savior after a lengthy battle with cancer. He died on December 21st, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 20th, 1952 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Boone and Bertha (Wilkins) White. Duane is survived by his wife Janet (Cook) White; three children, Jennifer (Shawn) Billings of Scotch Settlement, NB, Joey (Jennifer) White of Laval, QC and Charity White of Scotch Settlement, NB; parents, Boone and Bertha White of Keswick, NB; sisters, Debbie (Jim) Brown of Douglas, NB and Judi (Allan) McIsaac of Fredericton, NB; brother, Sterling (Kathy) White of Mouth of Keswick, NB; two grandchildren, Ethan and Rory Billings. His daughter Katie predeceased him in 1994. Duane was an entrepreneur. His occupations included farming (dairy, strawberries), lumber brokerage and home construction. Through these passions Duane was able to gain many strong friendships that have lasted through the years. Duane was known for his love of family and friends and his generosity, he was always willing to share his time and resources. He will be remembered for his wit, but most importantly, for his witness of God's love to others. All who have encountered Duane will truly miss him. The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Wheelock (neurosurgeon) and Dr. Margo Burnell (oncologist) at the Saint John Regional for their excellent care of Duane for the past 18 years. Also thanks to Dr. Philip MacFarlane, Dr. Graeme Young, Dr. Aldo Giovannoni, Dr. Khalid Al-Sharief, Dr. Sid Grant (Palliative Care, DECH), the nurses and staff of 4BS (SJRH), especially clinical care nurse, "Loop-D" and the staff of ER, 3E (Palliative Care at DECH) and the staff of the Extra- Mural Program. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, December 22nd, 2007 from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday, December 23rd, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Keswick Baptist Church, 51 Route 104, Keswick, NB on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 1 pm. Pastor Jonathan McKay will officiate assisted by Rev. Amos Adenyi. Reception to follow at the church. Interment will be in the Scotch Settlement Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Salvation Army, Samaritan's Purse or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
