MYRTIS L. HUMPHREY
HUMPHREY, MYRTIS L. The passing of Myrtis L. Humphrey, wife of the late Ted Humphrey, occurred peacefully and suddenly at home in the early hours of July 2, 2008. Born on August 20, 1925 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late John S. and Evelina Dickie. Myrt lived many years in Halifax where she enjoyed a long and happy career with National Sea Products. She retired with her husband to Malagash, NS where they made many friends and enjoyed community life. Myrt is survived by her only child, Jane Dick; grandsons, Joshua Dick (Lisa) and Michael Dick (April); and brother, Douglas Dickie. Myrt was predeceased by her husband, Ted Humphrey. Besides her parents and husband, Myrt was predeceased by her sisters, Cecila Dewar and Marjorie Conway; brothers, Russell, Ronald and Rheese Dickie, Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A celebration of her life will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Fair Haven Memorial Cemetery, Moncton, at a later date.
