FLYNN, PATRICK JOHN "JOHNNY" The passing of Patrick John "Johnny" Flynn of Cross Creek, NB, husband of Rose (MacDonald) Flynn occurred on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 12, 1965 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Patrick B. Flynn and the late Sharon (Sparkes) Flynn. He was the owner and operator of John Flynn Contracting Ltd. Johnny cherished spending time with his wife, children, family and friends. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, Miramichi Lake and loved his work. In addition to his father and his wife, Johnny is survived by his maternal grandmother, Jessie Sparkes of Cross Creek, NB; his children, Justin and Jessica both at home; sister, Theresa Varenholt (Paul) of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Robert (Shelly) of Fredericton, NB and David (Heidi) of Cross Creek, NB; nieces and nephews, Patrick, Evan, Carter, Cody, Regan, Riley and Grace. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Jack Sparkes and paternal grandparents, Guy and Alice (Foreman) Flynn. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Patrick's Church, Stanley, NB on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 2 pm with Father Aaron Knox and Father Monte Peters as celebrants. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stanley. A reception will follow at Johnny and Rose's home, 65 Route 625. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
