HANSON, MARION MORRISON Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on August 7th, 2009 after a brief illness, Marion Morrison Hanson of Fredericton, aged 97. She was the daughter of Luke S. and Margaret (Wiley) Morrison of Fredericton and for 45 years the beloved wife of Harace A. Hanson, QC, who predeceased her in 1985. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Anne MacKinnon; her husband, Hector; brother, Frank Morrison and his wife, Mary and son-in-law, Bradford Bjornson as well. She will be sorely missed by her four loving children, John Hanson (Deborah Power) of Fredericton, Patricia O'Brien (Gerald) of St. John's, Richard Hanson of Edmonton and Elizabeth Bjornson of Lethbridge, AB; her sister, Patricia Morrison and brother, Jack (Jean) Morrison. She leaves them, her ten grandchildren (Kristin, Megan, Alison, Kate, Luke, Rebecca, Jessica, Margaret, Kathleen, Jesse), their spouses, and her fourteen great-grandchildren with many wonderful memories of a life well lived. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews, who were as fond of her as she of them and by family and friends of all ages. Over the years she served on the executive of various organizations including the YM/YWCA, the United Church Women and the UNB Alumnae Association. Visitation will take place at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home, 160 York Street on Sunday, August 9th, 2009 from 2 to 5 pm. The funeral service will take place at 2 pm on Monday, August 10th, 2009 at St. Paul's United Church followed by interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
