GIONET, JANICE "JAN" SUZANNE CAMERON Jan died at home with her family and pet by her side on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Eric Gionet; and their three children, Matthew and his wife, Kate Boyle- Gionet, Marc and his partner, Tara Thibeault, and Suzanne and her partner, Brent Bustard. Jan is also survived by her mother, Edith Cameron; sister, Marilyn Kearns; uncles, Clarence and Ralph Forbes; her beloved Auntie Barbie Forbes; niece, Becky Vernon; nephew, Brendan Kearns; cousins and extended family. Jan was predeceased by her father, James M. Cameron in 2004 and infant brother, Paul. Jan was truly loved and will be forever cherished as a beautiful, intelligent and caring person. She graduated from UNB with her BSN in 1972 and was completely devoted to her nursing profession, working over three decades in all aspects of healthcare. She was a champion for women's rights, a community volunteer and she had a remarkable appreciation for nature, art and music. She was a voracious reader and an engaging conversationalist. Jan's life was filled with meaning, purpose, love and laughter. She truly made us all better by her presence, optimism and ability to live in the moment. Visitation will be held McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, September 24th, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Please join the family and friends in honoring Jan's life at church service to he held on Friday, September 25th, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Wilmot United Church, Fredericton. Rev. Dr. Peter Short and Rev. H. G. MacKenzie co-officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes in Jan's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Ovarian Fund, the Fredericton SPCA or the charity of the donor's choice. www.mcadamsfh.com
