WILLIAM WILEY W. CURRIE

CURRIE, WILLIAM WILEY W. Wiley Currie of Fredericton passed away December 27, 2009 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in 1920 at Mactaquac, NB, he was a son of the late Rankine and Emily (Owen) Currie. Wiley loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing and from 1952 to 1959 he guided sports at Nictau and Nipisiguit Lakes. Wiley was later employed as a mechanic at Lounsburys and UNB. He is survived by a sister, Velma Murch, Bear Island, NB; a step- daughter, Roberta DeMuro; a step-son, Charles Douglass; several step-grandchildren, step-great grand- children; a niece, Janice Brown (Ed); a nephew, Jeff Murch (Susan); several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis (Toner) Currie; a special friend, Juanita London; a brother-in-law, Frank Murch. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Mactaquac Baptist Church, 1494 Route 105, Mactaquac on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Peter Beckwith officiating. Interment will be later at Mactaquac Cemetery.
