RACE, KAREN EDITH - The death of Karen Edith Race, wife of James Race, occurred on January 28, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of Ronald and Carmella (King) Parker. She was an AIIC of the Insurance Institute of New Brunswick and was employed as an Insurance Associate with AngusMiller Provincial Insurance Brokers before her retirement. She was active with the Canadian Diabetes Association. She was a devoted homemaker and loved to garden. She is survived by her husband James, her parents Ronald and Carmella Parker, her brother Douglas, all of Grand Bay-Westfield, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Select Community Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425), with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2002, at 1:00 PM, from Bay View Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
