REID, ERNEST W. (ERNIE) - Peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital on March 5, 2002 Ernest (Ernie) Reid of Martello Rd. Saint John West, husband of Nellie (Maxwell) Reid. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late James William and Mary Olive (Canning) Reid. Mr. Reid was employed with Irving Pulp and Paper for 45 years from where he retired in 1989. Ernie enjoyed trailing at Hardings Point Camp Ground. Surviving in addition to his wife Nellie are one son Bill at home, two daughters Betty Beale and her husband Paul, Elaine Bishop and her husband Stephen all of Saint John West, one brother Glendon and his wife Elsie, one sister Lillian McDougall all of Saint John and four grandchildren Marlee, Ashley, Nicholas and Emily and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and one sister Marion Ramsey. Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Funeral service will be held at "Fallsview" Chapel on Thursday March 7, 2002 at 10 AM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Wednesday March 5, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
