63, Sydney With heavy hearts, we regret to announce the passing of Joseph Francis MacMillan of Sydney, on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Born in Westmount, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Ann (MacDonald) MacMillan. After growing up in Christmas Island, Joe worked on the lake boats and was employed with Irving Oil until he was injured in 1979. He was a caring man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Joe is survived by the mother of his children, Josephine; daughters, Mary Ann, Michelle (Glen), Lisa; and only son, Joseph (Nikki); as well as his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Vincent, Chelsey, Matthew, Breanna, Johnathon, Kyle and Madison. He is also survived by his siblings, Margaret, Johnny, Mickey, Roddie, Bernie, Alex and Archie. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother and best friend, Sam MacMillan. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m., Monday, May 19, 2008, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Fr.
