RICHARD D. "DICKIE" CROSSMAN

CROSSMAN, RICHARD D. "DICKIE"- The death of Mr. Richard D. "Dickie" Crossman, of 11 Roberts Court, Saint John, occurred on Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Saint John, NB, on September 16, 1966, he was the son of Kenneth and Donna (Nolan) Crossman of Saint John. Dickie was employed with the Saint John Regional Hospital, Environmental Services Department for over 10 years, and was formerly employed at McDonald's Restaurant on Rothesay Avenue and Main Street in the North End. He was very active in all sports, but mostly enjoyed, hockey, lacrosse, baseball and ball hockey. Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Arlene Nolan of Saint John and Harold Nolan, also of Saint John, four brothers, David (Jocelyn) of Brampton, ON, Sean, Gary and Terry, all of Saint John, two foster sisters, many aunts, uncles, cousins, including a special cousin, Travis Nolan, one niece, Emily, one nephew, Matthew, and his "best buddy", Rhonda Havens. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Bertha Crossman. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, on Saturday, July 20, 2002 at 10:00 AM. Following cremation, interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
