Melvin Wayne Harris

Melvin Wayne Harris was born in Sydney, N.S., Aug. 23, 1948, and departed this life in Vancouver, B.C., on June 2, 2008. Wayne was the beloved son of Wilbert and Ena Harris (both deceased) of Sydney. He was the husband of Elda (Moise) Harris; and the father of Richard and Ena Marie Harris who currently reside in Calgary, Atla. Wayne is also survived by his four sisters, Ruby Harris, Eulene Harris and Marva Martin of Boston, and Lanetta Brunson, Brockton, Mass. Wayne was predeceased by his brother, Clarence, but is survived by his other three brothers, Lester, Vernon, B.C., Glen and Lloyd of Boston. Following cremation in Vancouver, a private memorial service was held Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the Glenmore Temple, Calgary. Wayne (Jasper) will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Donations in his memory may be sent to the Vancouver Poppy Fund.
