Colin Gerard McDonald
54, Glace Bay The death of Colin Gerard McDonald, 54, of Glace Bay, occurred suddenly at home. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Colin Francis and Mary (Chauder) McDonald with whom he presently resided. Colin was employed with Devco for 23 and one-half years and also the Heavy Water Plant. Colin played hockey with Metro Bs plus senior hockey with the Colts. Colin had a very good sense of humour, he was a pleasure to watch. Colin was a member of Holy Cross parish, Glace Bay. Besides his parents, Colin is survived by his two sons, Colin Jr. of Alberta and Derek of Winnipeg; one brother, Tom, Ottawa; one sister, Eileen, Cambridge, Ont. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Colin was predeceased by his daughter, Angela, paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Joe McDonald, maternal grandparents, Jenny and Tom Chauder, and sister-in-law, Carol McDonald. Visitation will take place at Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay, Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Glace Bay, with Fr.
