HOLLIS J. ZWICKER

ZWICKER, HOLLIS J. - Unexpectedly Wednesday, January 29th, 2003 Mr. Hollis Zwicker of 8 Benson Lane; Grand Manan Island; passed away, he was 74. Born in Grand Manan he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard and Alma Zwicker. He served in the R.C.A.F., worked in the fishing community and also for Coastal Transport, Hollis was an avid baseball player in his younger years, was an active member of the Grand Manan Curling Club and also the Brookside Golf Course and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #44. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Yvonne (Guptill) Zwicker, four daughters Mrs. Lori (Vernon) Bedford, Mrs. Sharon (Sam) Greenlaw, both of Grand Manan, Mrs. Carol (Doug) Bothwell, of Burlington ON., and Mrs. Peggy (Hollis) Clark of Lower Hainsville N.B., also two sons Mr. Howard Zwicker and Mr. Jeffery (Pauline) Zwicker both of Grand Manan, one sister Mrs. Ruth Ingalls of Ottawa ON., and one brother Mr. Fulton Zwicker of Halifax N.S., nineteen Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters Lois Brown, Dorothy Green, and Marjorie McDowell, also five brothers Carl, Allan, and Ivan Zwicker and also Ralph and Havey Ingersoll. Family visiting will be held at Ells Funeral Home Thursday from 2 pm until 4 pm and public visitation from 7 pm until 9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, January 31st, 2003 at 1:30 pm from the Seal Cove United Baptist Church with Rev.
