(Aunt Dot), October 20, 1920 - July 04, 2008 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother in the presence of her loving family at the Health Science Complex on July 4th, 2008, Dorothy Mercer of Whitbourne, age 87 years. Predeceased by: husband, Shears; daughter Gladys; parents George and Jessie Morgan. Brothers: Harry; George; sister and brother-in-law Marjorie and Willis Lundrigan; sister-in-law Bernice Morgan. Grandchildren: Gerry Goosney, Michelle and David Mercer. Left to mourn with precious and loving memories are her children: Joan Ivy (Winnipeg); George (Elaine); John (Nora); Wendell; Glen (Susan); Darry (Sonia); Danny, of Whitbourne; Sue (Gerald) Goosney, New Harbour; Roslyn (Frank) Lewis, Bellevue; Dave (Gail), Wabush; Barb (Dan) Griffiths, Blaketown; Shelley (John), Ship Harbour; Paul (Tina), Toronto; Lorraine Mercer, Max (Betty), Baden (Marjorie), Shearstown; Shears (Monica), Brigus; and their families, 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. Brother Charles Morgan, Markland; sister-in-law, Elva Morgan, Heart's Delight; special nieces Polly Reid; Shirley Louise Jackson (card buddies). Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation Sunday 7 p.m.-10 p.m.; Monday 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.; Tuesday 10 am - 12 noon. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 10 at 2 p.m. from St. John The Baptist Anglican Church, Whitbourne. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Whitbourne.
