63, Glace Bay With heavy hearts, the family announces the sudden passing of Will Ward of 227 Phalen Rd., Glace Bay, a dear husband, father, brother and friend, on Sept 8, 2008, at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Will was the son of the late Alexander and Mary (Boutilier) Ward, of Dominion. He was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Glace Bay Hospital and Cape Breton Regional Hospital as a cook for over 30 years. He served as hospitality minister at St. Anne’s parish for many years. Will was an avid reader and outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting outings with his buddies. Will is survived by his wife, Lorraine (MacMullin); and daughters, Erin, High Prairie, Alta., and Megan, Edmonton, Alta.; sisters, Elaine Ward, Spring Hill, Delores (Warren) McComber, Nanaimo, B.C., Colleen MacKay, Glace Bay; brothers, Raymond (Laraine), Dominion, Roy (Linda) Dominion; sisters-in-law, Monica Ward, Glace Bay, Veronica Ward, Dominion and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Will was predeceased by brothers, Alexander ‘Sander’ and Fabian, and father-in-law, Alex MacMullin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept 11 at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday at St. Anne’s Church, with Fr. Leo Boone officiating. Interment will take place at St. Anne’s Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be made via www.vjmcgillivray.net.
