Lester Francis James Weir born August 3, 1936 in Twillingate, NL. Youngest son of the late Herbert Weir and Lavinia (Legge). Passed peacefully away at his home on Sunday morning, July 6, 2008 in the Town of Riverhead, St. Mary's Bay, NL. Predeceased by brothers: Kenneth and George and sister: Blanche. Leaving to mourn his beloved wife Jackie; his oldest daughter Deborah, husband Ford Sharpe and two granddaughters: Shannon and Whitney; his daughter Michele and two granddaughters: Katrina and Takara; his son Michael and granddaughter Shania; his son Kirk along with partner Danielle and grandson Keigan; step-daughter Michelle Hammond; step-daughter Deanne and husband Jason Rooth and grandson Jackson; Roy Weir, his wife Frances and family. Lester was a charismatic man with a strong will for work and great love of life. Memories of Lester will be remembered and carried on for generations by his family and friends who loved him. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. from Caul's Chapel. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Memorial Service will take place in Durrell at a later date.
