CLEGHORN, HAZEN JAMES - Hazen J. Cleghorn of Harvey passed away in the presence of his family in the early evening of August 18, 2004 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Harvey, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Messer) Cleghorn. He and his loving wife of fifty-four years, Shirley E. (Cook) Cleghorn resided in Harvey, NB. Hazen loved the outdoors, hunting, 4-wheeling, guiding hunters and spending quality time in the woods. He enjoyed working in his workshop building a variety of things and attending fiddle and variety shows with his wife Shirley. Mostly, Hazen enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; seven children, Wayne Cleghorn (Kathy), Lawrence Cleghorn (Sharon), Brenda Boudreau (Benny), Bruce Cleghorn (Doris), Carol Lee Rea (Folco), Peter Cleghorn and Perry Cleghorn (Paula); special daughter-in-law, May Cleghorn; twelve grandchildren, Jason Cleghorn (Amanda), Teresa Morecraft (Martie), Heather McAllister (Scott), Michael Cleghorn (Angie), Albert Cleghron (Paige), Stephanie McIntyre, Matthew Rea, Joey Cleghorn, Tyler Cleghorn, Robert Cleghorn, Kelsey Rea and Andrew Cleghorn; seven great grandchildren, Katelyn McAllister, Kimberly Currie, Brittany McAllister, Bradley Cleghorn, Kyle Cleghorn, Jacob Morecraft and Alex Cleghorn; six sisters, Frances McMurtrie, Annie Miller, Edna Charters, Hazel Holt, Glenna Grant and Eunice Cook. Hazen was predeceased by one sister, Ruby Rideout and two brothers, Vincent Cleghorn and Irvine Cleghorn. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Friday, August 20, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey Station on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darren Vance, John Craig, Bobby Clark, Brian Leavitt, Jason Cleghorn and Michael Cleghorn.
