
MEDRICK J. GAUDET
GAUDET, MEDRICK J. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Friday, October 8th, 2004, Medrick Joseph Gaudet, husband of Anita Laura (Richard) Gaudet. Born in Rogersville, NB, he is the son of the late Medrick and Madelaine Gaudet Bernard Hachey. Medrick was a lifetime member of Local 213, worked as a plumber-pipefitter in the Saint John area. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church and also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69. For many years, Medrick was raised by Mrs. Alma Arsenault. He loved to play crib and 45's, an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6770. Surviving in addition to his wife Anita are his daughters Rose at home, Mary Ann Power (Stephen) of Saint John, Fran Bright (Thomas) of Fort Smith, Northwest Territories; sisters Mrs. Doris Hachey of Bathurst, Mrs. Antoinette Hanas (John) of London, Ont; step-sisters Mrs. Lillian Fillmore of Grand Bay, Jean Arsenault of Moncton; step-brothers Gerald Arsenault of Rogersville and Pat Arsenault of Dalhousie; grandchildren Keith Power, Stephanie Power, Greg Whitehouse, Lisa Whitehouse; many nieces and nephews. Medrick was predeceased by a daughter Alma; brothers Edmond Gaudet, Isidore Bernard; sister Sr. Marie Bernard; and a sister Thersa Vautour. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John, NB (506-634-1701) from where the visitation will be held on Sunday from 7-9 pm and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 12th, 2004 at 12 o'clock noon at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, West Saint John. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery followed by a reception at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69.
