COOK, ETHEL SUSAN - Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on October 18, 2004, Mrs. Ethel Susan (Doucette) Cook, wife of the late Clarence Eugene Cook, of Back Bay, NB. Born in Carleton, Yarmouth Co., NS, on December 18, 1913, she was a daughter of the late John Vernon and Susan Euphemie (Fitzgerald) Doucette. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by two sons, Eugene (Thelma) Cook of Back Bay, NB and Elmer (Lottie) Cook of Pennfield; one daughter, Mary Avery of Beaver Harbour; seven grandchildren, Greg (Lisa) Cook, Wanda (Mike) Young, Kelly (Kevin) Hanley, Tony (Bessie) Cook, Karen (Nelson) Leeman, Jeff (Tabitha) Cook, Seth Avery; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the last member of her immediately family. She was predeceased by four brothers, Albert, George, Charles and William. Ethel loved crocheting and knitting, and made plenty of mittens over the years. She was a member of the Harbour Light Seniors Club and Sea View Full Gospel Church. Resting at the Sea View Full Gospel Church in Back Bay, NB from where the service will be held on Thursday at 2 pm with interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Ethel's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
