VICKERS, WILLIAM J. - Mr. William J. Vickers, husband of Monica M. (Kingston) Vickers of 315 Lawlor Lane, Miramichi NB, passed away Saturday February 5, 2004 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 83. Born in Nowlanville NB, he was the son of the late Albert and Emma (Burns) Vickers. He was a former manager for Northumberland Co-op Dairy for 45 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Besides his wife Monica he is survived by one daughter; Mary Rawlinson (Edward) of Miramichi; four sons; Kevin (Ann) of Ottawa; John of Victoria BC; William of Yellowknife; Kingston of Indian Rock Beach, Flordia; seven sisters; Mary Gill of Burlington ON; Sister Margaret Vickers of Vancouver; Sister Charlotte Vickers of Saint John; Sister Alice Vickers of Saint John; Ella Meahan of Saint John; Joan Kachel of California; Alberta Abud of Dalhousie; two brothers; Burns Vickers of Bathurst; Gerald Vickers of Saint John; four grandchildren; Andrew Vickers, Erin Rawlinson, Amy Rawlinson and Laura Vickers. Besides his parents he was predeceased by three brothers; Bennie Vickers, Alan Vickers and Albert Jr. Vickers. Mr. William J. Vickers is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi, with visitation today from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday February 9, 2005 from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi, with Father Sam Diotte officiating. Buriel will be held in the church cemetery later in the spring. At the request of the family donations to Coady International Institute would be appreciated.
