BEULAH CALDWELL

CALDWELL, BEULAH, ALBERTA , RN - The death of Mrs. Beulah Alberta Caldwell RN, 95, of St. George, NB, wife of the late Donald McLean Caldwell, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on April 13, 2005. Born in Elgin, NB on June 17, 1909, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Garland) Barchard. Beulah is survived by one daughter, Mary Anne (Vance) Craig of Utopia; one daughter- in-law, Susana Caldwell of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren, Heather Craig, David (Tracy) Craig, Alyson Craig (Craig MacDonald), Donald and Anastasia Caldwell; two sisters, Doris Everall of England and Evelyn (Mrs. James McCafferty) of Moncton, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her girls, Mimi, Irene and Joan, and faithful caregiver, Eleanor James. She was pre- deceased by one son, George; two brothers, Everett and Cyril, and one sister, Dr. Fernetta Levy. Beulah graduated from Nursing School at the General Hospital in Saint John in 1931 and spent 25 years nursing at Fundy Hospital in Blacks Harbour. She was a former District Commissioner of the Girl Guides, member of the Women's Institute in Blacks Harbour, member of NBARN (New Brunswick Association of Registered Nurses) and an adherent of the Presbyterian Kirk of St. George. Friends may call at the home of her daughter, Mary Anne and Vance Craig at 10 McLeans Beach Lane, Lake Utopia (755-3281). A memorial service will be held on Monday April 18th at 2:00 pm from the Presbyterian Kirk, St. George, with Rev. Dr. Stephen Cho officiating. In Beulah's memory, donations to the Diabetes Association, Hospice of Charlotte (465-0800) or a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
