GLADYS LILIAN LeBLANC-McGAGHEY

LeBLANC-McGAGHEY, GLADYS LILIAN - On Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Gladys LeBlanc-McGaghey, wife of the late Olaf LeBlanc (1962), and the late Harold McGaghey (1992), passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Malden, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Harold and Alice (Dyment) MacDougall. Gladys was employed by Baxter Dairies for approximately 15 years and was the delight of the neighborhood children through her generous provision of treats. She was a Member of R.C. L. Ladies Auxiliary, Branch #2 and held various positions within the Auxiliary, such as, Sargeant at Arms, 1st & 2nd Vice President, and was granted the distinction of Honorary Past President. Gladys was always very active within the Legion, often volunteering for any committee where there was a need. Her lengthy service with the Ladies Auxiliary recently culminated in her being awarded the 25 year Legion Service Pin. Her many interests included reading, collecting recipes, crossword puzzles and dancing. Gladys is survived by her daughters Eileen Gallagher (Tom Tracey), Grand Bay-Westfield, NB., Andrea (Bob Fisher) Lower Greenwich, NB., Muriel Macarthur, Saint John, NB., and Bernice (Miller MacKenzie), Picto Co., NS., step-children Carolyn and Greg and their families, sisters Pearl (Mrs. E Murray) Mass., USA and Blanche (Mrs. G. Murray), Malden, Mass., 11 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister Hazel MacDougall and brother Bliss. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) with visitation Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 16, 2005 from Fallsview Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery immediately followed by a reception in the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
