Eva Gloria Marie Gould

AMHERST?- Eva Gloria Marie Gould, 78, of 24 South Albion St., Amherst passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan on Saturday, July 5, 2008, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Cap-Pele, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Tillman and Dina (Fagan) Legere. A stay-at-home mom, she enjoyed playing cards, bowling, her cottage at Northport beach and her card club friends. She especially enjoyed many gatherings and outings with her family. Eva spend many hours going to concerts and games in schools, rinks, and fields all over the county. Eva was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Women's League and the Holy Family Parish. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond of 56 years; daughters, Raelene (Robert) Bird and Maria (Colin) Campbell both of Amherst; sons, Richard (Ferne), David (Kathy) and Fred (Karen) of Amherst; sisters, Laura McArdle and Madeleine Vautour, Suzanne Gauthier and Andrea (James) Rhindress, of Amherst; brothers, Ulric (Yolaine) of Cap-Pele, N.B., Aris (Ivy) and Edgar (Jolene) both of Amherst; uncle, Fred Legere of Maine; sisters in law, Adelaide of Dieppe, N.B., Doreen and Beverly of Amherst; granddaughters, Jennifer (Adam) Dickinson, Melissa (Shawn) DeMill, Stephanie Bird, Natalie and Jillian Gould; Grandsons, Jeffrey, Daniel, Ryan, Matthew, Alex and Tyler; great grandsons, Kaleb, Mackenzie and Connor; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was Nannie to many children she babysat. Eva was predeceased by her sister, Irene Legere; brothers, Regis, Matthew, Francis and infant baby, Marc; sister in law, Muriel; brothers in law, Aimee, Gerald and Felix. Her remains are resting in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) with visitation Monday, July 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with the CWL prayers at 3:30 p.m. and Parish prayer at 8 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst, with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Charles- Nativity Cemetery. Donations in Eva's memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Cancer Society. www.campbells-amherst.ca
