HAWKES, DORIS - After a lengthy illness, on August 8, 2005 in her 84th year. Doris was the daughter of the Late Bill and Jean Oliver. Dear wife of the Late Howard Hawkes (1998). Loving mother of Ralph (Pat) of Hartland, NB; Douglas (Janis) of Saint John, NB; and stepdaughter Donna Reid of Moncton, NB. Doris will be sadly missed by six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and by siblings Murray Oliver (Frances), Lois McHarg (John), Rose Johnston (Ken), and Norman Oliver (Sandra). Doris is predeceased by her brothers George and Glendon Oliver. Resting at the Castle Funeral Home, Fallsview Chapel, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Fallsview Chapel on Thursday, August 11, 2005 at 11 o'clock. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens with reception following at the Fallsview Reception Centre, 293 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
