HARNISH, SHIRLEY - Peacefully surrounded by her loving family Shirley Margaret (Flowers) Harnish, of Saint John N.B. passed away on August 10th, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Petersville NB, she was the daughter of the late Berton and Eileen Flowers (Sullivan). She is survived by two daughters, Mary Johnston of Calgary AB, Tanya (David) Dempsey, five sons, Murray (Jane), Jake (Bonny), Michael, Wallace and Troy (Roisin), all from Saint John NB, 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Three sisters Mrs. Josephine (Aaron) Cole of NS, Jane Sinclair of ON, Lucille Wilson of FCTN, one brother Berton (Ann) Flowers of STJH. She was predeceased by one great granddaughter Faith Almon, four brothers Guy, Ralph, Clayton, Donald and three sisters Gladys Coates, Peggy Norton, Barbara Burnett. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Saturday 12:00 - 2:00 pm. A memorial service will take place in Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. A brief reception will follow at Fundy Funeral Home. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and Romero House.
