Sackville, N.B. – The death of Edna Legere, age 99, wife of Alban Legere, occurred on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born in Port Elgin, she was a daughter of the late Maximillian and Zoe (Arsenault) Richard. Edna was a member of the St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church, Sackville. Edna will be sadly missed by her two grandchildren, Christine (Robert) Pritchard and Allan (Cathy) Legere; two great grandchildren, Ryan and Brooklyn; a brother Emile (Doris) Richard, Sackville. She was predeceased by her husband, Alban Legere (1974); two sons, Charlie and John; a daughter, Mona; four brothers, Tilman, Adelore, Rene and Joseph; three sisters, Alice, Hazel and Alvina. Edna's remains were entrusted into the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). A funeral mass was celebrated from St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Sackville on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 4 p.m., Rev. Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery.
