ROY ALBERT LITTLE

LITTLE, ROY ALBERT - Roy A. Little of Harvey Station passed away July 5, 2006 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in York Mills in 1925, he was a son of the late Howard and Lottie (Nesbitt) Little. In 1948 he married Frances Watson who predeceased him in 1994. Before his retirement, Roy was co-owner of Briggs and Little Woolen Mill. He was a member of Cherry Mountain Masonic Lodge and the McAdam Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Roy's other interests included curling, Harvey Community Benefit Days, as well as being an enthusiastic fisherman and a faithful supporter of basketball in Harvey Station. He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Briggs, Beaverton, ON and Janet Mersereau (Hal), St. George; two sons, John Little (Brenda) and Stuart Little (Carol), both of York Mills; two sisters, Regina Clarke and Marie Rushbrook, both of Fredericton; his grandchildren, Mike Little (Leah), Jamie Little (Deb), Troy Briggs (Laurie), Melanie Briggs, Amy Cook (Luke), Ben Mersereau (Rebecca), Rebecca Mersereau, Shannon Wiebe (Tim) and Sean Little; his great grandchildren, John, Devon, Carl and Jacob Little, Alannah and Julia Briggs, Ella Cook, Jonah and Lyndsay Wiebe; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, Roy was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Little, a brother, Edwin Little and a son-in-law, Thomas Briggs Jr. A graveside and Masonic service will be held at Harvey Community Cemetery on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 1 p.m. with Rev. George Clark and members of Cherry Mountain Lodge officiating. Following the service, a reception will be held at the CE Center of St. Andrew's United Church, 2350 Route 3, Harvey Station where friends are invited to visit with the family. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Roy, the family has suggested the Harvey High School Scholarship Fund, the Harvey Community Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
