(1918 - 2006) WILLENA FAYE PECK

WILLENA FAYE PECK, (1918 - 2006) - After a short fight with cancer, Willena Faye Peck, widow of the late Kenneth Peck, went to be with her Lord early Sunday morning, October 29, 2006. Born in New Salem, Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia, on April 3, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Lila (Currie) Lunn. She moved to Saint John, NB where she married Kenneth Peck in 1950. They lived in Saint John until 1971 then moved to Moncton where she has lived until her death. She was a member of Brentwood United Baptist Church and a member of Brentwood W.M.S.; she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Saint John Chapter #14. She was an active volunteer and a member of the Lions Senior Citizens Club. Willena was a very friendly and social woman who enjoyed making friends even into her later years. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. She is survived by her son Philip Peck (Rosalind); her grandchildren, Sheenagh Laing, Siobhan Straw, Aidan Straw; her great grand-children Kieran Laing and Calum Laing, all of Ontario. She is also survived by nieces Lois Moen of Red Deer, Alberta, Willena Ross of Cape Breton; nephews, Jim MacKillop of Sydney, NS. and Michael Lunn of Cape Breton. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Willena was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Peck in 1995, her parents; her brother Dallas Lunn; and her sister Laura MacKillop (2005). Willena is resting at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110) 114 Alma Street, Moncton with visiting hours Monday, October 30, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 2 pm in Brentwood United Baptist Church, Moncton, followed by a reception. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Donations to Hospice Palliative Care Greater Moncton or the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
