BECKINGHAM, JANIE HILDA (SMITH) - The death of Janie Beckingham, wife of the late Albert Beckingham, of Prince Edward Square Apartments, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 28, 2006. She was born on September 28, 1928 in Ford's Mills to the late James and Laura (Sims) Smith. Janie is survived by her two children, Laurie Guitar of Saint John and John Beckingham of Toronto; one sister, Bertha Cyr of Saint John; one brother, Fred Smith of Toronto; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Ernest and Albert Smith. The funeral service will be held from St. Paul's Anglican Church in Brown's Yard, NB on Sunday, December 31, 2006 at 2 pm. The committal service will be held in Ford's Mills Cemetery following the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
