
ALDA LORRAINE PUBLICOVER
PUBLICOVER, ALDA LORRAINE - 78, Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully in Dartmouth General Hospital on January 27, 2007. Born in College Bridge, N.B. May 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Euphemie LeBlanc. Alda grew up in Saint John, moving to Nova Scotia when she married her husband in 1946. Alda worked for 17 years as a clerk with MT&T and was also a member of the Waverley Legion for 30 years. She had many interests including swimming as well as bowling, where she played in several leagues and won many trophies. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Eric; sons Eric Jr., Northern Ontario; Gregory (Anne), Lower Sackville; Stephen, Lower Sackville; daughter, Pamela (Paul Conners); grandchildren, Alan, Michelle, Gregory; great-grandchildren, Eric and Justin; sisters; Doris Michael, Hamilton, Ont; Betty (Walter) Fillmore, Saint John, N.B.; Nancy (Gerry) Pelchat, Gatineau, Quebec; Joan (Ken) Loga, Comox, BC; Carol (Jim) Davis, Quispamsis, N.B.; brother Blair (Joan) LeBlanc, Saint John, NB; pre-deceased by sisters Florence, Rita; brothers Philip and Allen. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Memorial service was held on February 1 at the Waverley Legion.
