DEFAZIO, PAULINE M. - The death of Pauline M. Defazio, age 78, wife of Douglas N. Defazio, of Springfield, NB, occurred on June 1st, 2007, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Fred and May (Northrup) Armstrong. Pauline worked, as a secretary, in the family business, Defazio Motors, for a number of years. She loved bird watching, especially the hummingbirds, quilting, and knitting, as well as, bowling. She was a member of the New Brunswick Antique Car Club. She is survived by her husband; sons, Steve and Peggy Defazio, Rothesay, and Mike and Judy Defazio, Saint John; daughter-in-law, Beverley Defazio, Millidgeville; seven grandchildren, Tammy, Dwayne, Tracy, Susan, Troy, Tina and Joey; 17 great grandchildren, Kelsie, Morgan, Kirk, Kayla, Abby, Kayla, Sam, Bradly, Tanisha, Joey, Abby, Ally, Michael, Marcus, Eljay, Emily and Cole, brothers; Bill and Gale Armstrong, and Cal and Phyl Armstrong; sisters, Gladys Wies, Florence and Jack Duffy, Faye and Bill Pearson, Barb and Ashley Milburn; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Armstrong; and aunt, Alice Coy; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her infant son, Joseph; and son, Wayne; and brothers, Jim and George Armstrong. A memorial service will be held at Sherwood Funeral Home Chapel, 18 Scovil Road, Norton, on Wednesday, June 6th, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment in St. Simon and St. Jude's Cemetery, Belleisle Creek, NB. www.sherwoodsfuneralhome.com
