FUNK, HELEN - At the Grand Falls General Hospital, June 1, 2008, Mrs. Helen Funk of New Denmark passed away at the age of 83 years. She was the wife of the late Knud Funk. Born at Saint John in 1924, she was the daughter of the late Ole and Marie (Hybertz) Adams. She is survived by her four daughters, Diane Holt (Hymie Surkis) of Bathurst, Debbie (Kevin McNabb) of Bradford, Ontario, Lynn (Paul Osborne) of Burlington, Ontario and Colleen (Ronald Hansen) of New Denmark; her daughter-in-law, Dorothy (late Paul) of Riley Brook; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; as well as one great-grandchild on the way; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Paul in 1991. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. On Wednesday, June 4th, she will be resting at St. Ansgar's Anglican Church, New Denmark with visiting hours from 1 to 2 p.m., at which time her funeral service will be held with Rev. Ellen Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
